CREATIVE PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

I first got into photography at a young age helping out my father with documenting family events.

As years went by and my skills as a graphic designer and marketing developed, it was quite often that I couldn’t find the right stock photo. I would grab my camera and take it myself. Whether it was product launches, or models showcasing the new products, I was able to get the right image for the marketing campaign.

These days, it’s so important to have unique and eye-catching photos to post on social media, especially if you are a small business owner, an artist, musician, actor, etc.

I often get people ask me if I do headshots that are “a little more…you know….something different”. My style of what I shoot and create, is more of a “creative portrait” session. It’s a blend of traditional headshots and stylized portraiture that truly captures your personality and flair.

PHOTOGRAPHER vs PHOTOSHOP MANIPULATOR

Yes, it all starts out with a great photograph from the camera. But especially when shooting outdoors, sometimes all the right elements are not in your favor with local weather being rather unpredictable: rainy, overcast, too bright, too dark, too windy.

You may need a little cropping, retouching, remove this & that, add some color correction, or put some kind of cool background. The skills of retouching and photo manipulation can transform your photograph that is “almost-there” into a work-of-art.

I am honored and pleasure to work with some of the funnest models that became amazing friends. Which helps when you want to try out new techniques or equipment, they are always there for a fun shoot.
